Pain in my leg is gone

To my family at Marshall Spinal Care,

On January 11, 2003, I was doing laundry when I bent over to pick up a basket of clothes. Suddenly, something popped in my back and I went down to my knees. I crawled to my bedroom while crying out in pain and made it to my bed, where I remained for the next six months.

When I went to our family doctor, I was told I would likely need an MRI and possibly back surgery. My husband Sam and I knew we didn’t want to go that route. I was sent home with anti inflammatory medication and pain pills. I then began seeing a chiropractor who helped me just enough to get out of bed, into the car, and to work. My coworkers moved my computer to the floor so I could lie down and work. I couldn’t stand, sit, or walk. I crawled almost everywhere I went.

During that time, I missed so much with my husband and our two children, who were 13 and 15 years old.

After six months, the chiropractor told me there was nothing more he could do and recommended seeing a neurologist, which would mean an MRI and possibly surgery. Once again, Sam and I chose not to go that route. I remember wondering if this was how I would have to live forever and whether my husband would have to watch his wife live in pain and limitation. The weight of it all felt overwhelming.

But God had something else planned.

Our pastor had been receiving care at Marshall Spinal Care and had spoken with them about my situation. He believed they could help. In early July, my pastor, Sam, and I went in for my first visit.

During that first appointment, I learned that my body was significantly out of alignment. As care began, something incredible happened. Within moments, the pain in my left leg from sciatica was gone.

I walked out of the office that day, and within a week I was driving myself again.

Five months later, I was doing more than I had been able to do in years. The people around me could see the change, and they were amazed. I felt like I had my life back.

Thank you to everyone at Marshall Spinal Care for the care, compassion, and hope you gave not only to me, but to my entire family. Thank you for being the gift God created you to be.

With deepest love and gratitude,
Sam, Sherry, Samantha, and James
