Joy is Back in my Life

Dear Friends,

I’d like to tell you a very happy story. that happened to me last Christmas. But first, I’d like to introduce myself. My name is Dina. I am 21 years old. I was born and lived the first 18 years of my life in a little European country – Belarus (it used to be one of the republics of the former USSR). When I was 4 years old the most terrible accident happened at the Chernobyl Nuclear Plant, which changed most of our lives forever. I didn’t realize that something was wrong with me until I was 18. Out of nowhere I started experiencing excruciating pains in my back and both legs. I had a spinal cord surgery in September, but it didn’t seem to help. In fact it got much worse… To make a long story short, after 6 months being in the Hospital with no diagnosis, the doctors gave up and were sending me home to die. But God had another plan for my life. With the help of my American friends I was brought to the USA and had a life saving surgery. It was a miracle! But it was only the beginning of my wonderful journey with the Lord through recovery. It was because of terrible pain and lack of movement in the previous 7 months I was not able to even sit up in bed. I had to learn how to sit, stand and walk all over again. It hasn’t been easy. But I can feel God’s loving hand in every wonderful thing that happens to me on the way!
One of His true miracles for me was getting to know Dr. Mary Marshall. It happened right after Christmas last year. One Thursday morning after Bible study I saw a lady in the hall of our church, which I’ve never met before. We got to talk at the end of our conversation, she said that she might know a Doctor, who would agree to see me. It was Dr. Mary. She made me an appointment the very next day. It was such a blessing to meet and get to know Dr. Mary and everyone at Marshall Spinal Care. They asked me a lot of questions and took x-rays. I came back the next day and Dr. Mary did something to my neck, which I still can’t really understand. But that very same afternoon I began to feel better. I was not as stiff anymore, I didn’t get tired as fast, I was sleeping better at night and was in a much better mood for no other reason, than Dr. Mary’s “thing” worked!!! I have been going back to see Dr. Mary all through last year and every visit was such a delight! I will always remember and be grateful to Dr. Mary and Marshall Spinal Care for bringing joy back into my life and making it feel all-better! Thank you so much from the very bottom of my heart!!!

May God Bless and Keep You Always!
Much love, Dina
